Hockey Fights Cancer ’24
Over the last 15 years, AHG teams have raised over $100,000 for cancer-related charities through our Pink in the Rink events.
This year, we continue our efforts but, to align with the broader hockey community, we are moving to purple, designated as a general cancer-related color, and rebranding it AHG Hockey Fights Cancer. The approach will largely remain the same, with all proceeds going to a cancer-related charity.
It starts with a pre-auction of special game-worn jerseys for this event, on which you can bid by phone or email until October 31 at 11:59pm, or encourage someone else to bid if you already have one and don’t need another.
This is a great way to honour someone you know who has been affected by cancer. Dedications of these jerseys will be read out on the PA system as the player skates onto the ice, showing the name of the person to whom it’s dedicated. Bidding starts at $110 for each jersey, with all proceeds going to this amazing charity.
At the event, November 21, 2024 at 7:30pm, we also raise funds through a bake sale and a silent auction.
As such, we need your contributions of baked goods, silent auction items and, of course, jersey bids.
